Accessibility Statement

We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across the public site and the signed-in study app. The interface we author ourselves is designed and tested to that level. The exceptions listed below are content or services we do not author.

• Every page and dialog works with a keyboard alone. Focus is always visible, and a skip-to-content link is the first thing on every page.
• Page titles, headings and landmarks describe the page; status changes (a saved answer, a completed session, an error) are announced to screen readers, not only shown.
• Form fields have visible labels, errors are described in text beside the field, and mandatory fields are marked.
• Colour contrast meets AA in both light and dark themes, and information is never conveyed by colour alone. Automated contrast checks run with every code change.
• Charts carry a text or table alternative; motion respects your operating system's reduce-motion setting.
• The app remains usable at 200% zoom and on small screens without horizontal scrolling.

• Past exam papers. Some scanned PDFs published by exam authorities have no text layer and cannot be read by a screen reader. Where we have transcribed a paper into practice questions, that transcription is accessible; the original PDF may not be.
• Mathematical notation. Formulas are rendered with KaTeX. Screen-reader support for maths varies by browser and reader; we include the source expression where we can.
• Third-party services. Tutorial films are hosted on YouTube and payment is completed on Stripe's checkout page. Their accessibility is governed by those providers.
• Diagrams in questions. Some diagrams imported from exam papers do not yet have full text descriptions. We are adding them as papers are reviewed.

We test with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, with the platform screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS) for key flows: signing up, the daily session, flashcards, a timed exam sit, and the account page.
